✨ About the Role

Genesis Technologies is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic PHP/WordPress Developer to join our growing team. If you have a strong command over PHP, WordPress, and front-end fundamentals—and enjoy turning designs into functional, user-friendly websites—this role is for you.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
Write clean, well-structured, and reusable code using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways.
Work closely with UI/UX designers to bring mockups to life with responsive layouts.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across devices and browsers.
Maintain existing WordPress websites and perform regular updates and enhancements.
Follow best practices in website security, code standards, and SEO optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, marketers, and backend developers.
Strong command over relational and non-relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL; ability to understand and write complex database queries.

✅ What We’re Looking For

Strong understanding of custom theme and plugin development.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and responsive design.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Solid knowledge of WordPress core, hooks, filters, and REST APIs.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

🌟 Nice to Have

Strong grip on JavaScript and its frameworks like React, Next.js, Nest.js, Node.js.
Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, and understanding of ORM tools.
Proficiency with advanced styling frameworks like Material UI and Tailwind CSS.
Good hands-on experience in responsive designing for cross-device compatibility.
